“What would you do if you could travel back in time? Assassinate Marilyn Monroe? Go on a date with Hitler? Obviously. But here’s what I’d do after that: grab all the modern technology I could find, take it to the late 70’s, superficially redesign it all to blend in, start a consumer electronics company to unleash it upon the world, then sit back as I rake in billions, trillions, or even millions of dollars.”

That’s the snappy (as translated) new title of he Beijing olympics famous watercube. The building has been repurposed to house a new water theme park and is now open for business.

Aboriginal Interpretive Centre – Champion Lakes

Construction is forging ahead in stage 1 of the Aboriginal Interpretive Centre at Champion Lakes.

The blockwork is almost complete and we are starting to see some of the artworks materialize. All 11 panels of the interpretive wall artwork (by Norma MacDonald) have been erected and some of the community artwork tiles (by Sandra Hill and Jenny Dawson) have been finished. The insitu concrete walls are in place and the amphitheater is starting to take shape.

In our series of green bottle talks Lisa Mcgann from our office was kind (and brave) enough to show us (a bunch of picky designers) around her newly designed and built home.

Lisa spent long hours working on her North Perth home and we were all suitably impressed with the result.
