Aboriginal Interpretive Centre – Champion Lakes

Construction is forging ahead in stage 1 of the Aboriginal Interpretive Centre at Champion Lakes.

The blockwork is almost complete and we are starting to see some of the artworks materialize.  All 11 panels of the interpretive wall artwork (by Norma MacDonald) have been erected and some of the community artwork tiles (by Sandra Hill and Jenny Dawson) have been finished.  The insitu concrete walls are in place and the amphitheater is starting to take shape.

Looking good Gresley Abas. You should be proud. I can’t wait to see it with some lights on!

I really like the scraffiti panels. Beautiful earthy colours and textures. The topographical detail in the wall is delicious too. Can’t wait to see what it looks like all put together.
